Don't Be Afraid to Experiment. There are a lot of guidelines when it comes to how to arrange furniture, but there's no wrong way to design your bedroom's layout. If your bed ends up being beneath the windows, or your dresser has to be directly next to it, that's OK. Just figure out what works best for you and your space. If you want, try experimenting with different layouts during your first few weeks living in your new place. When you hit on one that works, you'll know it. Of course, you'll have to measure your bedroom and the most important bedroom furniture that you would require in addition to your bed. This may include: wardrobe, The two most important things in a bedroom are the bed and the wardrobe. For the first one, finding the right balance of style and comfort is easy. As for the second one, things are a little different. There are lots of things to take into consideration before choosing a design or a style.
Consider scale and proportion, the visual appeal of your bedroom furniture is important, so pay attention to the size of the bedsides that you choose. A simple rule of thumb is that the bedside height should be roughly the height of your mattress (give or take). Lighting is possibly the most important thing you'll place on your bedside table, so consider also the scale and proportion of your bedside lamps. A tiny little lamp will look out of proportion next to a tall bedhead, and vice versa with a huge lamp and a low profile bed. If you love to sit up and read in bed, the lampshade of your lamp should be at chin height so it creates a comfortable ambience for reading while eliminating glare.
